Extending into Norway  - August 2005

restaurantdiary.com™ have further widened the customer base with the successful launch of the first customer site in Norway.

Fresh on the back of recent deals with new customers in the USA and UK, restaurantdiary.com™ are pleased to announce that we have entered the Norwegian market with the first customer going live in early August. Kristian Endresen of YaYa's Thai Beach Bungalow in Oslo comments,

'The system is working very well, we are now receiving a number of external bookings every day, so we are very happy with it.'

The YaYa's business was won entirely online with restaurantdiary.com™ turning around an online demonstration in just a few days. With new streamlined customer account options, the entire process from enquiry to go-live can now be implemented same day when required. For YaYa's the option to take secured, real-time, confirmed bookings from the web has made an instant impact. With tight control of user rights and the ability to specify any number of booking rules, the savings are multi-dimensional and appreciated by both staff and customers.

Norway is seen as an exciting market by restaurantdiary.com™ with recent reports suggesting that consumer habits are changing. Norwegians are becoming more “Continental” , according to many journalists and analysts within Norway. This means that Norwegians are increasingly eating out during the week, that they are drinking more alcohol and that restaurants are increasingly becoming meeting, as well as eating, places.
