The Irish hospitality industry enlists the help of Restaurantdiary™

Restaurantdiary, the digital restaurant management and reservation tool provider, has signed a three year deal with the Restaurants Association of Ireland and Wheretoeat.ie to support the drive to promote the 650 RAI member restaurants across the Republic of Ireland, and boost the Irish hospitality sector.

Wheretoeat.ie, the dining listings website for Ireland (launched by the Restaurants Association of Ireland), has entered into a relationship with Restaurantdiary to help drive business into their range of restaurants spanning from Donegal to Cork and support the restaurateurs overall marketing strategy. Wheretoeat.ie has expanded rapidly over the past 14 months, now gaining over 10,000 hits a month and celebrating a 32% rise in the past month.

Business is particularly tough in the Irish hospitality sector, but the productive addition of the Restaurantdiary booking widget (which will sit on the Wheretoeat.ie site, the restaurant websites and their Facebook pages) will enable locals and tourists alike to make bookings at any time and receive immediate email confirmation of their bookings. Restaurants involved will only pay commission on online bookings (€2 per booking) and will have the Restaurantdiary function to manage their telephone and walk-in bookings at no charge.

Discoverireland.ie and Discoverireland.com (Ireland's online internal and external tourist board) are behind the initiative, listing the widget on their websites. This will further enable tourists nationally and internationally to plan their gastronomic trips with ease and support the drive for business.

Mike Conyers, Managing Director of Restaurantdiary said, "The link up with Wheretoeat.ie will offer restaurateurs the freedom to leverage contacts and will support them with table management and bookings so they maximise revenue streams."

Colin Swanton of the Town Bar & Grill in Dublin praises Restaurantdiary, "Their customer service is second to none. They have streamlined our operations beyond belief!"

Adrian Cummins, Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland comments, "This relationship we have forged is a proactive approach to help drive the hospitality industry in Ireland out of the current credit crunch. Using this technology will help bring it to another level, enabling our members to further promote their restaurants and allow tourists to plan their trips."
