If we have entered 2 customer profiles are the same, is there the possibility to merge them into one?

Yes - Go to Manage Restaurant / Merge Customers.

Merging customers allows you to automatically cleanse your customer database from duplicated data. Application finds duplicates based on the following criteria:

- emails are matched
  or
- one or both of emails are empty, first names and surnames are matched, and phones or cell phones are matched*.

If a number of records are identified as being duplicates the first registered in database record is considered to be merged with and others to be removed.

You can choose one or several merging options:

Merge customer details. This means that customer details missed in one record will be copied to it if exists in one of found duplicates. restaurantdiary.com™ automatically merges only following data:

• email
• contact and mobile phone numbers
• first name
• address details (house, street, town, postcode)
• comments
• access code (if applicable)
• referrer information
• company
• VIP status (it will be set up if at least for one of duplicates is VIP person)
• rank (will be updated with maximum of all values in duplicated records)
• subscription option (if it is disabled at least in one of the duplicated records it will be disabled when merging)

Credit card details will not be merged.

Merge customer history. If enabled then customers' bookings and vouchers orders histories will be consolidated.

Delete duplicated records.

*Please Note. Phone numbers should exactly match to each other, e. g. phone numbers '0207 931 3999' and '02079313999' are not identical.

Testimonial

This means that more often than not we can provide "walk ins" with either a table straight away or are able to give an estimated time as to when a table will become available.
